About Inca Community


Learn a little more about Inca Community and our story...

Our mission at Inca Community is to reconnect children with nature and enhance nutritional awareness. 


Our interactive journals provide a practical approach to cultivating and cooking, allowing families to engage together in growing fresh ingredients and preparing meals using quick, easy recipes. 


We focus on food awareness, promoting healthy recipes, and encouraging family interaction and teamwork. 


Through these experiences, we aim to cultivate a healthier, more connected generation.

Our journal books are designed for children aged 7-11, blending hands-on activities with an exciting adventure story to keep them engaged. 


At this age, kids are curious, eager to learn, and ready to take on new challenges, whether it’s growing their own food, experimenting in the kitchen, or discovering the wonders of nature. 


The journals encourages independence, while also being a fun way for families to bond, making learning about sustainability, cooking, and the environment an enjoyable experience for everyone!

One of the best things about growing your own food is using it in the kitchen! Cooking doesn’t have to be complicated, especially when kids are involved. I’ve found that when my children take part in the cooking process, they’re far more likely to polish off every last crumb! (even if it’s something they’d usually turn their noses up at!). Involving kids in the kitchen is a wonderful way to bond while teaching them valuable skills. These crispy courgette fritters are not only easy to make, but they also taste delicious, especially when made with homegrown courgettes from the garden. Plus, they're perfect for those moments when you want a quick and healthy snack but don’t have much time on your hands. When I first started growing my own ingredients, I thought I needed a big garden to make it work. But I quickly learned that you can grow fresh, delicious ingredients no matter how little space you have—whether it’s a balcony, a windowsill, or even a few pots on your doorstep! I’ve always believed that food connects us, and there’s something special about picking your own herbs or harvesting homegrown veggies. It’s not just about eating which I must admit it has to be my favourite part. It’s about learning, experimenting, and feeling proud of what you’ve grown. That’s why I created Inca Community to show kids and families that growing food is possible anywhere!  In this guide, I’ll share simple, space-saving ways to grow your own herbs and vegetables at home, no matter where you live. Whether you’ve got a sunny windowsill or a tiny outdoor space, you’ll find easy tips and plant ideas to help you start your own mini garden. Let’s get growing!

I’ve always believed there’s something special about growing your own food. There’s a kind of magic in planting a tiny seed, caring for it, and watching it grow into something you can actually eat. But for kids, that magic is even more powerful. When I started involving my own children in growing fruit and vegetables, I saw first-hand how much it changed their relationship with food. They became more curious, more willing to try new things, and, most importantly, more connected to what they were eating. So, why should every child have the chance to get their hands in the soil?
